This advanced Insect Microscope Workshop is designed for those who have previously completed a NBDC workshop. This hands-on session offers a unique opportunity to bring in your own insect specimens and explore them under the microscope with the help of experienced entomologists.
Learn how to properly prepare and observe specimens to identify more complex insect taxa. Whether you're interested in fine-tuning your microscopy skills or expanding your knowledge of insect identification, this workshop is perfect for anyone looking to deepen their entomological expertise.

Lunch: Please bring a lunch.
Clothing: Sturdy walking boots. Please dress appropriately for the weather and outdoor terrain.
Health & Safety: Please be mindful that this workshop includes an element of teaching outdoors. Waterproof clothing and good walking footwear are essential. As a rule of thumb, it is generally expected that any participants who sign up for a workshop that involves spending time in the outdoors will own and bring the appropriate outdoor clothing. A risk assessment for this event has been completed and participants are asked to listen carefully to the safety briefings that are delivered on the day.
